We are pleased to share our major EOQ1 release with you. Among the features are the ability to appeal a moderator's decision, tabs that allow quick filtering of the Conversation, and an optional sticky input box. As always, this version includes bug fixes and stability improvements.

New Features

Appeal

Make content moderation more transparent, fair, and accountable.
If you think that your content was wrongly removed or that your report was declined, users can use Appeal to submit a case and get a moderator to reconsider their decision.

  • Submit an appeal on moderation decisions

  • Get an email update from a moderator on the final verdict

We are starting to test this feature with a select group of design partners, if you are interested in enabling it, contact your PSM.

Tabs

Allow users to quickly find the comments that most interest them by filtering the Conversation. Just above the sorting menu, you will see these newly created tabs:

  • My Comments - Where users can quickly re-engage with the content they created, see replies and votes they received and continue the conversation.

  • Featured Comments - The top comments as selected by the editorial team.

  • Popular - See the comments with the most upvotes from the community.

  • Most Discussed - Find the comments that got the most replies and join lively discussions.

We are starting to test this feature with a select group of design partners, if you are interested in enabling it, contact your PSM.

Enhancements

Conversation

  • The comment input box could now stay sticky as users read through the comments, so they can easily start a new discussion at any time. This enhancement is currently being tested with a select group of design partners, if you are interested in enabling it, contact your PSM.

Bug Fixes

Conversation

  • When guest commenting is enabled, users can no longer post a comment with just a space as their display name.

  • The log-in button is no longer duplicated in non-English translations.

  • The feedback form no longer displays empty in non-English translations.

  • The bullet and numbered lists spacing inside a comment now appear is intended.

  • In mobile devices, the comment thread lines no longer hide the user avatars.

  • Custom analytics reporting using the data-custom-CUSTOMPARAM in the embed code are now reported correctly.
